The Sultans of Swing Are the Plymouth based six piece swing band. Covering the Southwest and further, The Sultans aim to put the fun back into live music of the Swing era. Influences such as Louis Jordan and Sinatra are noticeable in arrangements.

Many bands of this type often play to rooms full of musicians, usually in Jazz cafe’s. Although there is nothing wrong with that. This band is out for fun for all. Dance music from days past with a modern  approach is what you will get. Whether you want to stand at the bar and tap your foot  or get up and dance we aim to please all.

Please note that most reputable venues now insist that all musicians electrical equipment is PAT tested and that there is insurance cover on the band.

As members of the Musicians Union we are covered for public liability insurance.

We do have our equipment PAT tested annually.

Pubs, clubs, weddings and any other type of event. Be it a village fete or a corporate function we will play to fill your needs on the day/night. Our repertoire covers songs from  Jump Jive, Perhaps, In the Mood,  Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend to Lola, The Walk, One O’clock Jump and many more.  What ever the audiences age, this is the kind of music that will get everyone's foot tapping and the dance floor buzzing.
